Erin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) by New York State. Erin graduated from Stony Brook University’s School of Social Welfare in 2006. She specializes in working with adolescents and children struggling with behavior problems, anxiety, depression, and trauma. She uses a blend of techniques to improve their coping skills, stress management, and decision-making. Her goal is to help children and adolescents develop their understanding, confidence, and ability to manage their symptoms. An important aspect of Erin’s therapeutic work can often include educating the parents on ways they can assist their children with managing symptoms at home and practicing techniques with them
Erin has worked with adolescents involved in the juvenile justice system, foster care, and residential programs. Additionally, she is Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress certified. She believes that as a team, adolescents and their families can improve their relationships and work toward fostering understanding and independence among each other.
